    i might be mis understanding what your saying so if the child is acting agressive and violent we dont try and stop that behavior we instead allow it to continue? does this not send the message this behavior is acceptable and tollerated? at what point do we try to correct this? i mean when there 30 we definatly cannot have them breaking things screaming throwing themselves around and punching walls when there angry would it not be wiser to correct this behavior right away to limit the time between negative behavior and correction? i get what your saying about how you just cant reason with them when there upset but by the time they are calm they have become disassociated with there former behavior so you trying to explain that thats not ok is almost meaningless its like me saying how you acted last summer at the party is not acceptable you probably dont remember what happened or you remember your version of events so telling you that is meaningless youve forgotten so unless i give you a detailed account your lost for any idea how to correct it your also lacking context of how you felt emotionally or the factors that lead to that behavior that allows you to identify that situation next time to intervene before you reach melting point so sureley if the kid is being agressive youd be better to deal with that immidiatly also avoiding saying there feelings are not ok thats not what thats about there feelings are fine but its not there feelings most take issue with its how they choose to manifest those feelings if the kids upset and wants to have a cry and mope a little thats fine give them space we all need to vent but if the kids screaming and crying at you as a weapon to illicit a reaction or worse yet expressive those emotions through agressive hurtfull and violent means no the issue is not the emotions its the behavior the behavior needs to stop sad upset angry compleatly fine manifesting those feelings by trashing the room or crying till i give you what you want are not ok

    Here is what I don’t understand-babies sleep in the car seat while driving all the time. You still won’t see how they are positioned-they are rear facing for at least 1 year. So why is it ok for them to fall asleep and stay asleep in the car seat in the car if it is dangerous for the baby to sleep in the car seat out of the car?

    • @EmmaHubbard
      @EmmaHubbard День назад

      A major factor is the change of angle. When out of the car, the seat places the baby in a more upright position, tilting their head forward more.

    When my kids was going up. Id say don't do that followed up with why. Or no you cant follow ed up with why not. I remember when i was a little being told things and not knowing why. ( Your 3 and want cut with knifes, it looks like magic when i saw results) Anyway id always tell my kids why not. Other adults around including my husband would say. You don't have to tell them why because i said no🙄. Would i want to protect them. Wouldn't i want to know why. Guess i was a generation ahead of myself, know as a kid would make me think twice. When told not to touch a hot iron just stricks the curiosity to know why. I touch it and find out the hard way. Please just tell your kids why not. . This is how you are supposed to do it now. Im not perfect im still trying to figure out why when i tell my child to get dressed for school they just sat in the chair looking at me the look says make me/im not going to. Over and over i explain. Its the battle of wills😮. My typical child. My Down Syndrome young man on the other hand. Hates showering, getting his face out of a screen, refuses to dress, go outside. Eat, i could go on. Any advise would be nice. Shopping he drops to to floor refusing to move. Refuse to get up. Hes been doing that since he could walking. Sadly it takes a bribe to get him up. Any advice? Would help😊

    Thought you can’t lay on your back after 10 weeks pregnant and on cause lying on your back may compress a major blood vessel that takes blood to your uterus, making you feel dizzy and possibly reducing blood flow to your fetus.

    Thank you for your amazing content Emma! One question: how would you handle pottying out-and-about? These products are not exactly portable, is it better to have a travel-specific potty/insert, or to just have to hold them over a toilet? I could see pros and cons to both but maybe there's a third option I'm not considering?

      My daughter had sensory processing problems and expressive language delays. Sounds similar. I would contact your school district for a free developmental screening. If any intervention is needed, the sooner addressed, the quicker it helps. Left alone unhelpful habits become stronger. You can also ask pediatrician, but I think people should know that school districts have programs to help for free. Don’t worry, knowledge is power, if your child needs support, it’s good to know.
